Cancelled Orders

Within RW Elephant, all Rental Orders start as Proposals. If your customer opts not to move forward, the Proposal should be Cancelled. To change a Proposal to Cancelled, you can simply change the Order Status.

Cancelling an Order releases all of the Items so they are available for other Rental Orders during that timeframe.

We suggest that you Cancel Orders rather than delete them so you can keep track of Proposals that don’t lead to confirmations. You can also resurrect a Cancelled Order at any point by changing its Order Status back to a Proposal.

If you delete an Order, you will no longer have a record of it. It will be as if it never existed. But with Cancelled Orders, you can see what Items are being asked for but not booking, how many Proposals you create for every Confirmed Order, and other metrics that can help you make better decisions about your rental business.

If you want to Cancel a Confirmed Order, be sure to take a look at this tutorial.
