Last week, I had a great call with a special event rental business owner who is just starting out. As she’s planning for the future of her business, she asked me what I thought about salaries for salespeople in her company.

While I can see lots of reasons why you’d want to offer a commission-based salary package to your sales team, I was reminded of this video from Dan Pink that illuminated my thinking about motivation and incentives. Hopefully it will be thought-provoking for you as well.
